Ow man, I checked a few days ago, and my computer can't run this game (it's an old laptop).

I know how you feel. ;_;
I also have a laptop, which is a Vaio model from 2012, which can run the game on LOW settings with a discrete bad framerate, despite I meet the minimum requirements. The game also need an optimization and the developers are doing their best to make it playable to everyone.
Also, saving up money for a more powerful laptop: I can't afford a desktop due to reduced and dusty space at home.

According to canyourunit website, I don't even meet the minimum requirement '--

I'm trying to save up for a good gaming laptop too (but I'd like a new tattoo too, and a new console and, and... AAAARGL), I like to play in couch, desktop and all, so I need something I can move. Mine is so old it can't be moved without freezing x)

Also, I've seen some reviews saying they weren't happy about the game, since this early access is a year now, and they say there's not a lot of improvement and not a lot of things to do in the game... What's your opinion?

I've been following the game since E3 2016 and playing it since September. I've also been following the developers since then. Due to necessary optimization, correction of bugs and development of the game, one year isn't enough: also, the developers mentionedore than once their plans to extend the Early Access due to met difficulties. If they had released the full game exactly after a year, it would be badly optimized and buggy. So, those who write the negative reviews concerning the EA are mostly people who don't know how long a game takes to be finished and relative difficulties and are impatient to wait for a full well done game.
On Steam I and other players dealed with these kind of people who went also rude and dared to insult the developers and us gamers with "greedy azzh0|3z and suckers".
If you take other EA games like the Forest and the Ark, they've been under development for years and Ark also got several DLCs - in this case the developers are truly greedy money-grabber. Compulsion Games, instead, takes care of their product and tries to make it as perfect as possible. That's why I greatly support the game and the developers, who are also very nice people.
